Tonight's Mega Millions jackpot is reportedly over $600 million.
That's a lot of cash. It is so much money you start thinking about all the little pet projects you could start with no fear of financial consequence.
In that vein I think I would build a recording studio - attached to a pub - and bring in bands to record live sessions like the Onion A/V Club or NPR. Except at my studio I would want to correct some gross inadequacies of artists' back catalogues.
First up would be to get Clutch - by far the best, hard-working, hard rock act out there - to perform the seminal "Pure Rock Fury" live to tape. I keep pretty much every Clutch studio album on my iPhone at all times and when I hear a track from "Pure Rock Fury" blare out of the sound system in whatever car I'm testing it is distorted to such an extent I have to skip the track...heresy I know. The track "Immortal" alone deserves so much better.
You can listen to "Pure Rock Fury" on Spotify here. Strangely enough, the terrific sounding Clutch albums like "Strange Cousins From The West" and "From Beale Street to Oblivion" aren't available on the streaming service.
